Mother Goose
Mother Goose is an imaginary figure traditionally credited as the author of various collections of French fairy tales and English nursery rhymes. Beyond her role in literature, the character has appeared in songs and theatrical pantomimes dating back to the early nineteenth century. She remains a foundational archetype in the history of children's fiction and folklore.
