John Canemaker

John Canemaker is an American independent animator, historian, and author. He has served as a tenured professor at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts since 1988, where he directs the animation program. His animated short film, The Moon and the Son: An Imagined Conversation, received an Academy Award in 2006 and an Emmy Award in 2007 for its graphic and artistic design.
