Anna Thommesen
Anna Thommesen was a self-taught Danish textile artist and painter known for her austere, geometrical style. She utilized a loom of her own design to create tapestries and rugs, while also working as a colourist using plant-based dyes. Her notable public works include tapestries for the Holstebro town hall, a piece for the Landsting Parliament Chamber at Christiansborg Palace, and liturgical textiles for Roskilde Cathedral.
